Born in Killeen, Texas, Rachel Marie Davis’ love of theater began at the age of six when she saw a West End production of Cats. Soon after, she was seen constantly singing Andrew Lloyd Webber songs and reciting monologues from her favorite movies.

While attending school overseas, Rachel was able to perform all over the world including Germany, Belgium, Italy, and England. While in England, Rachel joined the competitive Young Actors Company (formally known as Whizz Kids) which only 5% of auditioners are able to get in each year.

As a Young Actors Company member she was an extra in several British TV shows and performed in a variety of plays and musicals. She even received a nomination for best female performance for her portrayal as Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls. In school, Rachel won superior awards at Thespians competitions. She went on to win critic’s choice for her duet scene in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Currently, Rachel is attending the University of Central Florida for Digital Media as well as performing in many of UCF’s shows. At UCF she has been apart of Project Spotlight’s One Act Festival and 3 other theater productions. Also, Rachel has modeled for Formal Source (a wedding and prom gown collection), Wear Your Intentions (a organic tee shirt company), and several side projects for many of her photography friends.

Some of Rachel’s passions/interests are: studying Japanese language and culture, playing Xbox 360, and learning tap dancing.

Her dream is to one day travel with her talents and make people smile all over the world.

Reviews

Alice Experiments in Wonderland (The Rehearsal Process): At UCF, we treated our rehearsal like a film set. This meant we endured a lot of waiting. French scenes were not practical because we often did not know how fast we would be able to work or at what locations cast members would be available, because our academic/production schedules were so different. The cast’s patience and belief in the process were amazing.

NAACP ACT-SO Competition Evaluation: Rachel had a very professional comfort level with her performance. She had the ability to connect with her piece beautifully and I loved the interaction with her props. Excellent job!

Feedback from thespian competition (duet scene): Excellent characterization choices, body language, facial expressions and focus. Rachel, you have amazing diction, articulation, and projection. Also, nice concentration and emotional commitment from both of you, but especially Rachel. Well, well done!

Professor Evaluation: Rachel brings a passion to all the productions not often seen in peers her age. The student body follows Rachel’s career as though she were a movie star. Rachel’s recent performance in Cambridge saw many of our youngsters there, just to see Rachel perform.
